We are Asa and Birgir Gislason, the founders and owners of maxxipaws. We make premium-quality, natural supplements for dogs and cats, and we have never sold anything we wouldn’t happily give our own dogs.
In the autumn of 2009 we adopted Molly, a rescue dog who came with a surprise, or rather eight surprises! On Christmas Eve she gave birth to eight beautiful puppies, and of course we couldn’t resist keeping one of them: her daughter, Tess.
When Molly was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at a young age, we started researching joint supplements for dogs. That search became maxxipaws.
In 2014 a lovely lady bought the very first bottle of our maxxiflex+ joint supplement. To this day she has no idea how happy she made two strangers. We are grateful to her, and to the tens of thousands of customers who have chosen our products for their pets since. Your trust is the most valuable thing we have.
Sadly, we lost our much-loved Molly in January 2023. She was, like all dogs, the “best dog” ever. We miss her beyond words, and we always will.
Tess missed her mother terribly; they had never been apart. So in August 2023 we adopted Tani, a young rescue Border Collie and Brittany mix. She is clever and full of energy, often reminds us of Molly, and she brought real joy back into Tess’s senior years.
We lost our beloved Tess in October 2024. We miss her more than we could have imagined.
In January 2026 our first boy joined the family: Kenzo, a Golden Retriever. He is a big, wonderful boy who stole all our hearts straight away. He and Tani are best friends and look out for each other.
Quality first. Premium, natural ingredients. We will never do anything to compromise on the quality of our products.
Real people, real service. We are a small, dedicated team, and we treat every question as if it were about our own dogs.
Happy pets, or we make it right. Your first order of any product through our website is fully covered by our Happiness Guarantee.
Giving back. Through maxxiclub we support a different animal charity every month, and every week one lucky member wins a free product of their choice.
As lifelong animal lovers, working with pets always made sense to us, and after travelling the world we made that dream come true with maxxipaws. We have the cutest customers any company could wish for, and their owners are nice too!
If you have a question, or there is anything at all we can help with, please get in touch. We’d love to hear from you and your pet.
